Amal Fellowship (Reshaping Youth’s Life)

Starting from the very motive before joining the Amal Academy, while I was scrolling on my newsfeed's on Facebook I suddenly came across the advertisement of Amal Academy summer fellowship program this past Ramazan. I researched the facilities and the learnings that they are providing it really meet with the needs of mine and that’s how I applied for the fellowship of Amal Academy.

Over the last three months I have got many major insights from my fellowship experience, like the failure is a source of motivation, teamwork is crucial, positive mindset with positive attitude and positive action, everything worth doing takes effort learning is a must, are to name few in short, “Amal Academy Helps Youth Realize Their Dreams.”

Before I joined Amal Academy as a fellow, I didn’t know anything about it at all. Perhaps, if it weren’t for Facebook, i wouldn’t be able to know about fellowship and all the things that this Academy is doing, and applying for fellowship to my interview, from first session to the last one, and the moment, the happiness the beautiful memories i have created with fellows of BATCH-158 there are so many lessons, learning and so many new things in it, that paved my way and has helped me through out this journey. In realm of this my Amal Fellows played a vital role in my progress, each day they inspired me, motivated me and urged me to do something beyond the measures of my ability, and I thank them for their unconditional support.

  1. What was the instance that had the most impact on you?

Before joining Amal Academy I used to have a fear for Public speaking skills and that too in English, I was having a zero confidence level in the start of this fellowship, moreover I used to hesitate while presenting anything in front of my batch . After joining Amal Academy I’ve overcome this demerit of mine to a level that today I can even talk to a majority entity without any hesitation. Secondly, before any exposure to Blog writing, I use to think that writing blogs will be a big thing, and it’s not my cup of tea, but after having 2 sessions and attending the online courses I’m so good at writing blogs in English (This Blog is an example), alongside of speaking in English to more strengthen my skills of public speaking.

2. What about this incident made you think about yourself and the way you see things around you?

As I mentioned earlier, before joining Amal Academy my mind use to stuck with some limited and negative thoughts with no confidence, however I never tried once speaking openly for solving the problems on which I was stucked before and to overcome this i really needed to be be more professional by making my public speaking skills more powerful, as i have also realized the importance of this skill in the 21st century. Now i really love speaking in English with more confidence infront of 40+ fellows in online class and it’s all because of Amal Academy’s learning, our PM, and PA’s dedication and hard work. I have also remember my PM (Miss Anum words in the class, we don’t know Urdu, speak in English only) this one sentence really pushed me to gain confidence and to overcome the fear.

3. How much of this realization was the result of the way the other people/person around you acted and exhibited their energy?

in the start of the fellowship classes i have realized that to complete this fellowship with ease i have to overcome that fear and to master my skill of Public Speaking in English. Almost most of the fellows were speaking in English and that realization with truth impacted me a lot in a positive way, this way i really exhibited with the flow of my fellow members energy, and learned a lot from my and the mistakes of other fellows as well.

4. Looking back, how do you think you would do things differently?

Looking back, I always think about two things. First, it shouldn’t have happened. And second, Thank God it happened. The reason for the first statement was obviously the results I got and for the second, it rectified some of the most common errors I was carrying with my personality. So, this event changed my personality and perception both. Now I’m forbidding shortcuts and putting my efforts not only in my fellowship but in my daily routine too. And, I’m really thankful to my facilitators who stepped forward and gave me the chance to improve myself. God bless you!

Everybody deals with issues throughout their life yet it is essential to keep your eyes on your objective and get great stuff or experience from issues and tough times. Persevering and positive reasoning will direct you toward extraordinary achievement. I will consistently follow the example of positive speculation in my future. I thank you Amal for making me reevaluate myself and turning me to a better person. And truly Academy serves its very purpose and motto that helps us become “person of actions.”
