Amal Academy is a Stanford University-funded venture that is helping the Pakistani youth to develop there professional skills needed to achieve their professional career, and personal dreams in a very positive way. After an intense application, a phone video interview, and a selection conference, I was accepted as one of the fellows in the luckiest/amazing batch of 158. This Batch has been supervised under the supervision of 2 beautiful teachers, our PM (Miss Anum) and PA (Sir Ahmed).

So the day has arrived where the journey of our fellowship in the Amal Academy is almost to the end, the end where I really want to share my fellowship experience during the sessions. Up to date I have learn a lot from these sessions which were full of fun activities, team work, updating/making new cover letters and resume, Amal values and becoming the part of our mock Interviews. Most part which motivates me a lot was the excitement before the joining of this fellowship and the real sadness in the end of this fellowship, however the Positive part that i have gained a Family in Amal Fellowship full of positive people and there vibes ❤ . Its look like a family journey.

All Beautiful Things come To An End 😔😔

I had no idea how much I would learn from my experience with the organization in the coming months، the diverse people, motivational lectures, leadership training, and lessons in risk-taking and humbleness continue to inspire my journey at Amal Fellow-ship. Let’s deep dive into this beautiful journey to let you all know that what I have learned and experienced during my first two weeks at Amal Academy ❤

1st Few courses of Amal Fellow-Ship

During the online course we fellows visited the life story of Edhi sahib. Which showed me that what was his journey, his struggles, hard work and how he devoted his whole life for the betterment of humanity. I learned empathy, selflessness and dedication from his story and it prepared me to much more to become a hard worker in my own life. His story inspires me a lot in a way to start something good from the very small step, without thinking negative of what others will think, unless and until if I'm happy to do this work.

Diving deeper into the course I also learned the 5 most important Values taught by Amal in the fellowship. These values which I assume are now a daily part of mine for my higher self. I follow and stand by these values which have changed me in a surprising and in a positive way. Before attending this fellowship, I faced problems in initiating discussions with strangers or new people. But Amal has taught me the ice-breaking techniques which have helped me a number of times during this journey.

My 1st Ever Little Art Work in Amal

“Try not to become a man of success. Rather become a man of value.”
Albert Einstein

Values are things that are a most important part of us , they are a set of beliefs that we hold about what is good or bad. Values can play a very important role in every person’s behaviors or attitudes that help determine the course of action. By identifying our own values we can determine what are our priorities to evaluate our own life decisions. We here at Amal Academy during the 1st week were taught about the Amal values which were Responsibility, Humility, Growth, Acceptance, and Honesty. We were asked to have an artwork related to that so we can remember them easily even after the fellowship. In continuation of this , I made some posters to remember these values and they are still there which reminds me that life becomes easier when you acknowledge and honor your values, they will still exist whether you recognize them or not, however, if you start including them in your decisions you will feel more content and positive.

Another beautiful and my most favorite activity was a gift overdue. It was an appreciation activity of gratitude to those who supported us to achieve our goals, personally or professionally. So i made a thank note to my friend and wrote a blog over it. You can also read it here.

And now, the chapter is about to be end but unfortunately giving me the space of adding only a few paragraphs. Wish, it could last a little longer but you know, life goes on. I respect and value the time i spended here , once said, “it’s more like a happy ending” and I really liked that. Now, whenever I’ll look at my desk, I’ll be reminded of my amal family and miss these days, missing the songs we sung, the usage of funny and sad emoji during the class, the questions of taimoor and the appreciation we get infront of whole fellows and teachers mattered me the most. But here the smile, the fun will also be missed ,these moments happened and all of those amazing fellows became part of the book of my life. For a short time, but had and will always have a special place very close to me. Love and Virtual Hugs To All ❤️❤❤️

In the end, I am very thankful to my Program Manager Miss Anum and Program Associate Sir Ahmed and to all my Beautiful Amal fellows ❤️for making this journey beautiful and worth Spending 🙂.
